Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian, host of a TV show and actor best known for hosting the popular daytime talk show The Talk. Born in Arkansas she grew up within Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is from a troubled family. Sheryl spent the majority of her youth taking care of her sister Frankie, who had polio. While she was growing older it was not easy to get along with her mom. Sheryl claims that in the past, her mother would stab her father for getting too close to her. Sheryl joined military after graduating from college. She was interested in comedy. She was the only female that made it to the 1989 contest Miller Lite Comedy Search. Her TV career started in 1992 when she was a guest performer for the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. She was a guest in the show Oh Drama! as the host in 2000. Seit 2011, she is co-hosting the Talk show. She's been in many fictional series including Bulworth Nikki Beauty Shop and others.
