Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, TV host and performer best known for hosting the popular daily talk show The Talk. Sheryl was born in Arkansas and was raised within Little Rock, Atwater, and Atwater. Sheryl lives in a family that is turbulent. Sheryl was fostered by her sister Frankie. Frankie had suffered with the disease of Polio. As a teenager, she was plagued by problems with her mom. Sheryl alleges that, in an instance, her mother knifed her father when he became too close to Her. Sheryl was a soldier after she graduated from college. Her passion for the military was comedy. She was the first woman to win the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. She began her TV career when she was frequently performing on The HBO Comedy Show Def Comedy Jam in 1992. She was a guest as host of Oh Drama! as the host in 2000. In 2011, she began appearing as a co-host on the talk show The Talk. She's been in many fictional shows such as Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
