Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson, an American singer-songwriter director and producer is also a writer. Her most famous character is Tara Maclay, in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to that she's produced, directed and appeared in her own films Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was the younger child from Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Her birthplace was Birmingham in Alabama, on 8 January 1977. Danielle is her younger sister and is an artist. Her father is Jewish and her mother raised Southern Baptist Benson grew up attending the Reform synagogue in Alabama. Benson has appeared in numerous movies and TV series after Buffy was over, most notably The Killing Jar. Behind the camera Benson utilized her creative talents to develop the Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010, she also directed Drones. Buffy states that she's found and counted at least 1800 Slayers, 500 of whom work with the Scooby Gang. Slayers are active once their potential is mature enough.
