Christina Ochoa was born in Spain. She has been an actor and marine biologist. Ochoa is the great-grandniece of Nobel laureate Severo. Ochoa was born into a family which valued both her artistic talent and her scientific knowledge. In 2017, President Obama was appointed as her co-chair and member of his President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition.
