Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek was born in Mexico and was born to Spanish-Lebanese parents. Her family is an Mexico-based Roman Catholic wealthy family. Her passion for acting was ignited at a young age to be an actress by the film 'Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory'. While at Mexico City's Universidad Iberoamericana prepared her for the film industry. It was her first character in the Mexican television show "Teresa." In Hollywood she was chosen to play Antonio Banderas's co-star on 'Desperado. There were other roles to follow, like "Fools Rush in" and Wild Wild West.' She was the character 'Desperado' the character from Once Upon a Time in Mexico was revived. She then started her own production company 'Ventanarosa'. The film she produced was Mexican film 'El Coronel No Tien Quien Escriba". It was the country's entry to the Oscars in the category 'Best Foreign Film.' She also served as the executive producer of 'Ugly Betty.' Her nomination was for Outstanding Guest actress (Comedy series) during the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards. Her endorsements include products such as 'Avon ' Revlon and has her own cosmetics line haircare products and skincare products under the name 'Nuance'.
